Let’s welcome home our troops

A Welcome Home Parade will take place in Windsor on 22 August between 10:55 and around 11:30.

1st Battalion Coldstream Guards will be holding a Welcome Home Parade in Windsor following their return from Afghanistan.  The  Coldstream Guards were deployed to the Afghan capital Kabul in February this year and are responsible for protecting mentors to the Afghan National Army Officer Academy and Defence University, as well as supporting the administration and protection of International Security Assistance Force and UK Government organisations operating in Kabul.  This is the Battalion’s third tour of duty in Afghanistan.
