OK West Windsor, let’s get as much Plastic off our streets as we can this Saturday 23rd March

Residents of West Windsor are invited to gather at The Black Horse pub, on the corner of Gallys Road and Dedworth Road at 10am… wearing marygolds is optional!

The event is being jointly hosted by Councillor Da Costa, the West Windsor Residents Association (WWRA) and Plastic Free Windsor (PFW) as part of Keep Britain Tidy’s #GBSpringClean 2019.

This event will take place around Dedworth will, kick off at 10am on Saturday 23 March 2019 at the Black Horse at the corner of Gallys Road and Dedworth Road. Community Wardens and some of RBWM’s Waste Management & Recycling Team will be on hand to help and for information.

Cllr Da Costa said, “This event is part of a goal to have fun together and to improve the lives of others and leave our community, people and environment in a better place each year.“

PFW’s Paul Hinton said, “We are delighted to be working with our Plastic Free Ally WWRA on this event, which we hope will leave the local environment a little tidier, and at the same time bring the community together “

WWRA Chair Richard Endacott said, “I am delighted that the members of The West Windsor Residents Association at the recent AGM, committed to lead by example by encouraging plastic free initiatives. Alongside our partners Plastic Free Windsor we would like to extend the invitation to the local West Windsor community, to support the Plastic Free Windsor campaign through strategies which may include always carrying a reusable bottle and saying no to plastic straws.”

Come and join Richard, Paul and other residents of West Windsor who have already volunteered to join in this Saturday’s Spring Clean, part of Keep Britain Tidy’s #GBSpringClean 2019.
